The naked earth is warm with Spring,
And with green grass and bursting trees
Leans to the sun’s kiss glorying,
And quivers in the sunny breeze.

Spring – Summer brings the rush of colours through the wardrobe. There is an air of freshness and zing in this season. With the sun beaming and vacations approaching , all that everyone can think of is relaxed getaways. After watching the runways and Fashion weeks , Finally the fashion translates into more wearable format onto the streets.
1960’s -70’s and 20’s are doing repeat rounds in Fashion circuit. Last year saw a decent amount of repeats and the trend is still on. Besides the floral that are meant to be the staples of spring , few trends that caught our eyes were wide leg pants, peplum cuts , sorbet shades ,drop waist dresses ,African-inspired prints ,peter pan collars, thigh high slit dresses ,colour blocking, mid length skirts.
WIDE LEG PANTS
This is the trend continued from SS-11. Neutrals , solid bright colors and sorbet pastels are a big hit . They can be worn through the day with pretty floral / lace / bow blouses and carried to the night with silk tops / blouses. They have been by far my personal favorite pick since last 2 seasons. They are very functional , skin can breathe through the fabrics unlike denim and yet very stylish .
Mix solid block colored wide leg pants with basic neutrals for a classy look like the blue pants and white blouse. If you want to dress eccentrically, pair strong contrasts and create a bolder look like the magenta pink pants and blush pink silk top with tangerine orange boyfriend jacket.
Classic beige and white combination can never go wrong . Dress it up with crotchet wrap n green belt or play it down with a basic white blouse for the day. The grey and blue combination is a cool combination and alternative for the boring denim.
So what do you say ? Aren’t they more hepp’er option than regular denim ?
The newest trend are printed ones . Mix them with basic silk /cotton fitted tops to accentuate the waist. Wear a thin belt to accessorize it
So mix up the bright solid colours , bring in some monochromatic combinations , do some subtle sorbet combinations and stylise your spring wardrobe .

Till then Keep smiling and keep stylish 🙂
